Sheila F. Hughes, an associate in the firm’s Atlantic City office, handles commercial and business law matters under the guidance of the firm’s Commercial Litigation partners. Sheila also works with the firm’s Maritime Law group assisting various clients involved in commercial fishing, recreational boating, marina, and marine construction industries on a wide range of issues related to maritime law and litigation.

A name change needs to go through the court since it applies not only to the MVA, but all legal documents. You need to certify that the reason does not include any type of fraud.

I know money can ruin friendships and I don't want this to happen with ours. If for some reason she can't pay me back I just want to have documentation in the even that I have to take legal action.

We would like to change our son's last name (biological) to our married name. Long story short I didn't get married to him immediately following our son's birth, so I gave our son my maiden name. We are now married and would like to change his last name as well. We are both listed on his birth certificate. How can I do that? He was born in Maryland, but we just moved to Oklahoma a month ago..
