Is it better to change your name after high school?

I have a question. I need a letter from a social worker indicating that when I was in school, I had domestic violence issues with my then boyfriend. (I used to come to her several times throughout the school year in tears about what was going on at home, so she has knowledge of the incidents). What exactly should that letter entail? I'm not sure what to ask her to put on it. I'm sure she's done these before but just in case she has not....

Even though you don't qualify for assistance from DSS it is still the best place to start looking. They usually keep a list of "licensed" providers and should have no problem giving that to you. You can find home providers who are licensed. I would be very cautious about letting my children stay with strangers who are not licensed. Unlicensed providers are not regulated by the state, they do not have to do background checks, and usually do not have CPR and First Aid requirements. The only thing about home daycare is you really don't know who will be around your kids and what will be going on, you only have to do a search online to read about nightmare stories. In the rural area I live in most home day-cares charge as much as licensed care anyway. Also you are not as likely to get structure and educational benefits, as that is not a requirement in even licensed home child care. If you can find one ran by someone with a educational background that might help. If I were you I would find a licensed preschool center since your boy's are four. Most kids go to school based preschools or Headstart at this age to get a jump start on kindergarten. Good luck with your search.

What is the best way of after writing the name-. Mr. White:. Mr. White,. Are both right?.

Hi. I am a tutor for two kids , ages 9 and 15. I am a 22 year old student. The kid's dad asked me to write a reference letter about the tutoring I do with them and I don't know what to write. I'm not sure what I should put, should I mention that he's a good father or is my letter supposed to just be about what I do with them? I tried looking for templates or guidelines for these types of letters but didn't find any.

No. They weren't born with that last name, and their birth certificates are records of the names under which they were born. Birth certificates CAN be amended, but their original name will always appear.
