  • Christian Samay is an experienced civil trial lawyer litigating intellectual property and other commercial disputes in federal and state courts across the United States. He also maintains a global transactional and IP/IT counseling practice.

    Christian routinely enforces the intellectual property rights of his multinational clients to protect against the misuse of trade secrets and breach of non-competition and confidentiality agreements by former employees and competitors, copyright infringement, trademark and trade dress infringement and patent infringement.     Christian's diverse commercial litigation practice has ranged from single plaintiff breach-of-contract cases to complex multidistrict matters. He has first-chaired arbitrations and jury and bench trials, obtaining verdicts and victories at trial for financial service companies, broker-dealers, manufacturers and technology clients. He has successfully defended businesses in nationwide and state-based class action lawsuits, and in multidistrict litigation, including claims relating to the sale of securities and other financial products, and the manufacture and sale of digital cameras and flash memory. Christian has defended radio personalities in defamation actions, recovered against defendants for trade libel, and protected the rights of publicity for professional athletes and their sponsors in relation to group licensing. He has defended employment discrimination and false advertising claims. Christian has also served as lead, settlement and local counsel on Hatch-Waxman ANDA patent cases for some of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies on products exceeding several billions of dollars a year in sales.

    In addition to his traditional litigation practice, Christian maintains a transactional and IP/IT counseling practice. If the caller is not already working with an agent, the Realtor who answers the phone can offer to work with the prospective buyer, making arrangements to show them this house, as well as other homes that might be a better "fit" for the buyer's criteria. Sometimes a caller will be looking for a Realtor to help them sell their home, and the "floor" contact will enable the agent to go out and make a "sales presentation", in the hope of gaining a listing.. . Working "the floor" is an excellent way for novice Realtors to find new clients.
