I was curious how you would go about this process. We've been contacting lawyers but not very many of them offered free legal opinion(therefor I didn't want to bother in case they didn't have the answers or weren't the right type of lawyer I was looking for). Their rates were sort of high end(I will also take numbers if anyone knows them). We are getting married and plan to reside in Canada.. . Regardless, I am curious if I could stay in the country after we're married. I plan to get a job right away, because it's not in my nature to live off of people. I've heard through the grapevine that you have to wait 3-4 months before being able to work after being married? Also that he will have to sponsor me, which isn't a problem. But what exactly is the sponsoring process? Sorry for the long question, but it's hard to find the right information where it's not completely scattered and useless. What is really comes down to is
