  • Our law firm, Green & Associates in Los Angeles, California, is focused on serving professionals and businesses in the areas of administrative, civil, business, regulatory and criminal matters. Our attorneys have detailed knowledge of the law and provide personalized attention as well as skillful representation for our clients.

In our administrative law practice, we work hard to represent or defend professionals brought in front of professional boards that govern various careers. We stay up to date on necessary rules, regulations or laws, educate our clients, and explain what individuals need to do to stay and remain in compliance with the law. We also advocate for clients when they are in disciplinary hearings. The administrative processes are complex and possess consequences that could affect their careers, so it is important to have knowledgeable representation for these matters.

Another area of practice for our firm is criminal defense. Our law firm focuses on white collar crimes such as embezzlement and fraud. We understand that these allegations put your freedom and career at stake. Our lawyers work with you to listen to your goals, ensure that you are kept up to date on your case, and make you aware of the various options and settlement offers put forth by the prosecution.

Yet another area of practice for our firm involves health care litigation. In this case, most often we represent medical professionals against allegations of fraud. Not only do we become familiar with the facts of your case, we also conduct our own investigation that will assist our firm in the event that your case continues to trial.

Regardless of the legal matter, our firm provides clients with vast litigation experience in county, civil, federal and appellate courts in California.

Since your freedom, job or professional license is at stake, it is important to consult with an attorney regarding your case. Contact the attorneys at Green & Associates to schedule a free 30-minute consultation.

Health care

My fiance and I are getting married in October. I know its tradition to take the man's last name, and even becoming popular to take the woman's or to keep both last names. The problem is we both hate our last names, mine due to horrid teasing I would never subject a child to and his being ridiculously common.

Hello, I'm going to be doing some photography with some models who are doing it for free.. . I want to be able and offer them the legal rights to do whatever they want with the photos I give them. Except to sell them or sell/transfer rights to them etc..

Unfortunately, because all the above information is printed and we are asked to read all the notes before filling in the form, they are covered. They have power to stop your payment, and to demand what has already been paid either in full or in part, it is then an offence to withold the money. They have the power to seize goods to that effect.. . Your best bet is to contact them by phone and remain very polite, explain the situation and say that this happens every year, say that in future you will telephone the information to them but is there anything they can do this year tol help you, as it is very frustrating to you when you have done all they asked and are being penalised through no fault of your own. Explain that you simply do not have this kind of money and that them stopping your payments is causing hardship. Whatever you do, remain polite and be prepared to accept what they say as a final decision. They can arrange payment plans and in this case, you may just have to pay it, as it is your responsibility to ensure they receive the form. If you have a copy of it, ask if you can give them the information over the phone this one time as you did not realise that they did not have the form.. . I suspect they will stick by their original decision, but I do know from speaking to them, that the nicer you are, the more helpful and efficient they are, if you start getting angry or indignant, they pretty much close down and become mighty unhelpful. They are just doing their job, and to be fair, though yours is a genuine case, they have thousands of people every year who say they filled their forms in and sent them off when they haven't, since its impossible to tell who is telling the truth and who isn't they make it our responsibility to ensure they have the form and they advertise on the tv about deadlines and how to send the forms in, anyone who hasn't got the form in gets penalised, as far as they are concerned, there are no viable excuses. Good luck, call them now, be nice and you never know you may get someone who will help you through this minefield. Next year, fill the form out, keep it, and call them with the info, log on the form the time and date and who you spoke to and ask them roughly how long you should have to wait before your final declaration is sent through, if it doesn't come in that time, call them back, it really is the only way.

Add a real sense of urgency. You want to subtly hint to your potential partner that you won?t wait long to hear back from them ? which is true, because if they say ?no" you?ll have to find someone else anyway. Word this in such a way that it compels them to action either way ? but don?t be overbearing, deceptive or unrealistic.
