Jeffrey W. Deane has over 20 years of civil litigation and trial experience representing companies and employers in tort, business and commercial claims including product liability (consumer, heavy equipment and vehicles), pharmaceutical, medical device, environmental and toxic torts, employment (wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, wage and hour), attorney malpractice and professional liability, breach of fiduciary duty, defamation, intentional interference with contract and/or economic advantage.
Prior to joining Selman Breitman, Mr. Deane was a partner in a 400 attorney national firm where he was trial counsel defending Fortune 100 companies in high stakes aviation, marine engine asbestos, product liability, toxic tort, employment and commercial matters in state and federal courts, and was a member of the firm's Pro Bono Committee. Mr. Deane also handled warranty, employment and premises liability litigation for a market leader in consumer marine, fitness, bowling and billiards industries. Mr. Deane has also served as national, regional and local counsel in multi-party and multi-district litigation in complex mass tort litigation.
Mr. Deane received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Psychology from U.C.L.A. in 1984 and a Juris Doctor degree from Golden Gate University School of Law in 1987. He is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern and Central Districts of California, and in Idaho.

I hold a Power of Attorney from a family member. At the time of creation of the Power a few years ago, neither the Lawyer who prepared it nor the Notary Public who notarized it, thought it necessary to provide on the Power document a specimen of my signature, .
