It's for my homework and I'm not sure what it means. ^.^.

If you change your name by deed poll, who needs to be notified?

My bottom line question is in two parts. 1. Do you have an advanced directive? 2. How do you feel about advanced directives? 3. If you currently don't have one in place How does your family know how to handle this difficult questions? Have you talked to them about it?. . Thank you for your help..

seemly: a proper lady

So I am a high school student and have questions about recommendation letters. I am planning to go to a University college, and I was wondering if they need letters of recommendation. Also, how should I obtain letters of recommendation, and how am I suppose to send them to a college? If someone can tell me all the necessary steps that would be greatly appreciated.. Also, after letters of recommendation has been written, am I suppose to be the holder of it ?.

I changed my first and middle names one year ago yesterday!. . I had to go to the local Probate and Family court. I had a one page form that I needed to fill out. It asked what my current name(s) were and what I wanted to change them to and a section for why. The why wasn't really important, I was told by the clerk that I could put down just about anything. Because I am married, I had to have my husband sign the document as well. If you are single, it isn't an issue. The court then ran a background check on me to ensure that I wasn't changing my name to avoid any legal problems, etc. I then had to pay $160 (fee varies by state). As of that day, my names were immediately changed. I received 2 certified copies of the document so that I could use those to change my name on SSN card, driver's license, credit cards, etc. etc.. . I was actually quite amazed at how simple and quick it was.
