? Obtained judgment of non-suit in stomach cancer case alleged from asbestos exposure. After deposition testimony of plaintiff's medical experts established lack of causal relationship between exposure and disease, defense precluded experts from testifying at trial. The resultant inability to prove the medical aspects of their case led to the non-suit in favor of client defendant.
? Obtained summary judgments in multiple actions against naval decking contractor in asbestos litigation after establishing plaintiffs' inability to show causation between work performed by defendant and the plaintiff's ultimate development of disease.
? Dismissal was obtained for a waiver of costs on behalf of a contractor after filing a motion for summary judgment on the grounds that plaintiff had no evidence that he was exposed to asbestos from a service for which the contractor was responsible. Plaintiff, a rigger, alleged that he developed mesothelioma from occupational exposures to asbestos at various shipyards in Southern California.??

Dismissal was obtained for a waiver of costs on behalf of a cement manufacturer after filing a motion for summary judgment on the grounds that decedent had no evidence that he was exposed to asbestos from any products manufactured by client. Plaintiffs alleged that decedent, a truck driver for various construction companies, contracted mesothelioma from occupational exposures to asbestos from transporting asbestos-containing construction materials.

Dismissal was obtained for a waiver of costs on behalf of equipment manufacturer after filing a motion for summary judgment on the grounds that plaintiff had no evidence that he was exposed to asbestos from any products manufactured by client. Plaintiff, a boatswain's mate in the U.S. Navy, alleged to have developed lung cancer as a result of working with asbestos-containing products on board various naval ships.
