Elaine K. Fresch is the managing partner of the construction defect department.? Ms. Fresch’s primary focus at Selman Breitman has been in the area of construction defect litigation representing primarily developers and general contractors as well as all types of subcontractors and product manufacturers.? One of her primary goals has been to develop ways to aggressively defend her clients in a cost-effective manner, including formatting and operating successful joint defense agreements.? Ms. Fresch has had the rare opportunity of trying complex construction defect cases.? Ms. Fresch has also handled a variety of complex commercial/real estate litigation matters, including trial in the U.S. District Court.? She advises clients on drafting and negotiating contracts for their real estate projects.? A nationally-recognized sliding glass door and window manufacturer was represented in a case in which a general contractor demanded six figures for claimed product defects relating to sliding glass doors supplied by client on a large hotel remodel and addition project. General contractor also sought a duty to defend on the part of client. The matter was resolved for significantly less than the total demand. Litigation
? A claim was resolved on behalf of an architectural firm in connection with a tenant build-out of large commercial offices. The matter was resolved through extensive negotiations, without proceeding to litigation, thus avoiding substantial legal fees and potential exposure for significant damages.?
? Represented the governing body of a horse jumping competition, as well as the facility hosting the event, in a claim involving a catastrophic personal injury. Plaintiffs alleged that both clients increased the inherent risk of the sport by not requiring riders to use a certain type of cup to hold the rail on an oxer jump in the warm-up arena. The claim was resolved for far below plaintiffs' multi-million dollar demand.
? Very favorable settlement of personal injury claim against a popular racetrack was obtained after the jury submitted questions during deliberations suggesting that a defense verdict was likely.

Im sure there are a ton on line but nothing beats you modeling letter writing. Start with the basics by brainstorming whole class and then go over the friendly letter format (or which ever one you work with). Make it interesting and grade appropriate. With students giving you input, they will feel a connection to the work and be able to translate it to their own letter.

You will write a resume and a cover letter to apply to jobs. The resume is basically a listing of the schooling and jobs you have had and what the tasks are that you did on those jobs. The cover letter allows you to connect those facts and, perhaps, some other personal qualities, to the job itself. So if the job calls for persuasive powers, for example, and you have managed to sell something which is difficult to persuade people to buy, you can mention that.. . When you say you have "great results", do you mean on your exams? Often that is important only to get into college, and not beyond that. However, I do remember getting a resume from someone who was getting her doctorate, but who mentioned that she had been the #1 candidate in all of India in the year she had finished school.
