My family has sizable assets including a large company that has been established for over 50 years. I currently own about 10% of the company, but over the next 10 years, ownership will transfer to me so that I eventually own 90% of the company. My fianc? is still in graduate school, but when we get married and she graduates, she will be coming to work for the business as an employee solely. In the unfortunate event of a divorce somewhere down the line, how do I protect the company my grandparents and parents built? I live in CA, a community property state. I have considered a prenup, but how do I account for the 80% of the company that has yet to transfer to my name?. In addition to the company, I will also be transferred ownership of some of the family properties, including the house we want to live in.. Understand that I am not trying to keep my future wife from getting anything in the event of the divorce, I just want to make sure that the assets my parents and grandparents worked hard to accumulate are off the table, and only the assets we build on our own are subject to a settlement..

Mostly old people fall for online scams. We young people can almost always see if something is a scam or not. You think online scams will be gone in time or at least, a lot less?.

You can change your name with a marriage certificate OR a legal name change only.. . Right now social security isn't processing social security cards for any reason during the shutdown. When the shutdown is over they will need to see a certified copy of whatever document it is that changes your name. Offices are open weekdays from 9am-3pm except Wednesdays when they close at noon.
