  • Kevin J. Harrington is the managing partner of the Commercial Litigation practice group. Mr. Harrington is a trial lawyer who handles a wide range of complex business and tort litigation, including cases in employment discrimination and harassment,?trademark and copyright, contract law, construction law, business dissolution, partnership disputes, and professional liability.

    Mr. Harrington is a member of the American Bar Association. Thereafter, he was an associate at Lord, Day & Lord Barrett Smith in New York City before leaving to become a partner at Rivkin Radler & Kremer at its national headquarters on Long Island.     Obtained and collected judgment of $9.6 million after trial and appeal in Federal Court for two managed care companies against national insurance company for breach of contract and theft of trade secrets.Successfully prosecuted wrongful contract termination suite for construction company and construction surety bond company against school district, resulting in $3 million settlement recovery.Negotiated very favorable settlement for construction companies defending subrogation fire loss claim of over $78 million, after discovery demonstrated significant weaknesses in both liability and major elements of economic damages claims.Obtained summary judgment for college in Federal Court from race discrimination and retaliation claims brought by masters degree student who received failing grade after being accused of plagiarism.Obtained summary judgment in two unrelated cases, one in Federal Court and the other in State Court; both for spoliation of electronic evidence.Successfully litigated Order to Show Cause seeking injunctive relief for insurance broker suing insurer, and obtained reinstatement of all subject insurance policies and renewal for additional term.
