  • Sive, Paget & Riesel has been a leader in Environmental Law and Litigation in New York and elsewhere since the early 1960's. More than four decades ago, Sive, Paget & Riesel lawyers led the administrative and judicial proceedings following the landmark Storm King Mountain litigation in New York's Hudson River region. Our attorneys also led the successful fight to stop the Hudson River Expressway, which resulted in an opinion that is the first reported decision contained in the Environmental Law Institute’s Environmental Law Reporter. The Storm King Mountain disputes preceded the first Earth Day in 1970, the enactment of the National Environmental Policy Act and the creation of the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

A lot has changed since those early days, but Sive, Paget & Riesel continues to be an industry leader, assisting clients in the preparation of environmental assessments and Environmental Impact Statements (EISs) under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and New York State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), working on Brownfield redevelopment projects and environmental permitting, and supporting corporate transactions with due diligence reviews and risk assessments. Most of the Firm’s attorneys are experienced litigators, prosecuting and defending Superfund cost recovery actions, oil spill cases and challenges to EISs and environmental reviews. We have also defended a number of complex toxic tort cases, which have resulted in a number of landmark court decisions in this area. We remain on the cutting edge, lecturing frequently on a variety of topics, including quickly evolving areas such as alternative energy, global warming and climate change. Our attorneys counsel our clients and keep them informed as to new laws and regulations, such as the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI), are put into place as the New York region and our nation grapple with the complex array of issues relating to climate change and the potential environmental impacts from global warming.

Because you pose this question on Yahoo Answers, you are also a relater. In other words, the views of other people are important to you. To me, this is a very serious flaw, and you'll do many things that you will regret later. You must not take other people's view above making up your own mind. You must trained yourself in critical thinking and lateral thinking. (See Sources below). . I recommend that you be a more pragmatic idealist. Also consider eclecticism.. . Eclecticism basically is a philosophy in which you claim your right to be the master of your own soul. You choose only those ideas and ideals that you can get benefits from, and discard all ideas and ideals that you find toxic or obstructive. This requires you to condition and brainwash yourself through whatever means (hypnosis, auto-suggestion, sleep recording, etc) to improve and protect yourself, changing yourself to be a more reality-centered person.. . I also recommend that since you already have enough savings to last one year of without a job, you should fire your boss, and jump into training yourself to do business in e-commerce. In e-commere, you outsource all your labor-intensive work to the Internet, auto-pilot software and other IT systems. This means that you can generate a lot of passive income by working from anywhere for an hour a day. Working 60 to 70 hours is not good for your health or social life.. . You also have to decide whether you want to be a pleasure-seeking person or a family person. If you want to have at least one child, go get married to a nice homely girl right now. If you want to remain single all the way to the trumpeting, then enjoy the company of girls right now. We do not know when our last days may come, OK?

I got married, and I want to know what all I need to bring in to the DMV to change my name on it. I'm in Illinois.

A cover letter is basically there to "sell" your resume to the hiring person. It's a way to highlight a few of your strengths and to explain how those strengths make you the perfect candidate for the job.. . A query letter is similar, but it is a way to specifically showcase your writing skills rather than ALL your skills like a resume and cover letter do. Your query letter may be imaginative and creative or carefully formulated or it may be a simple explanatory paragraph attached to examples of articles you've written, etc. The whole point is to prove that your writing skills are up to the standards that would be expected if you if you gained this writing job. So, the theme of the query letter should be, more or less, "how I qualify to write the type of article/document you need." If the type of writing you would do on the job is humorous, then make it a humorous explanation of your writing skills. If the type of writing they need is well-researched with facts, then explain by quoting examples of how your skills have been praised. And so on.. . Cover letter = All your skills. Follows a fairly standard format. Attached to your resume.. Query letter = Writing skills mainly. Format is tailored to suit the job. If it's attached to anything, it goes with a small portfolio of your writing work.
