  • David A. Williams is an associate at the firm and exclusively represents individuals and families victimized by the wrongful conduct of others and employees injured at work. David concentrates his practice in worker’s compensation and plaintiff's personal injury law, including cases involving construction negligence, transportation (automobile, truck and railroad) negligence, premises liability, wrongful death and The Federal Employers Liability Act.

David grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, where he attended St. Viator High School (Arlington Heights, Illinois) and, after earning his Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University (Oxford, Ohio), attended DePaul University’s College of Law (Chicago, Illinois), where he was awarded a Juris Doctorate. David worked his way through law school, including a post at a prominent insurance defense firm where he demonstrated legal acumen beyond his years and earned an associate position after becoming licensed to practice. During his time working for the defense, David defended corporations and their employees in a variety of personal injury matters.

After spending over five (5) years honing his skills, David learned that his passion and talents were best served representing victims of personal injury. David’s experience as a defense lawyer gives him a unique perspective and advantage when representing his clients, including a sound understanding of how insurance companies and their lawyers analyze and evaluate cases.

David’s commitment to his clients is demonstrated at every step of a case, from the initial client interview to his presentation at trial. He handles each case with thoughtfulness and thoroughness.

David is currently an active member of the legal community, including the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. He also volunteers as a Panel Attorney for Chicago Volunteer Legal Services.

In his tenure at the firm, David’s results are impressive, and we are proud to have him at Brad J. Balke, P.C.

I want to write a thank you letter to this company for interviewing me because I heard it increases your chances of getting the job but I do not know how to go about writing it.

I will be receiving a small sum of money from my Uncle's estate once it is officially settled. He passed away last year - 2008. I've tried reading the Michigan and federal laws regarding the current tax laws, but it is very confusing. Can anyone tell me if I will be expected to pay any state or federal taxes on the money he left me in his will?. Thanks in advance for your help!.

FIRST, get the court to LEGALLY change your name. you WILL have tor PROVE you are divorced, so the court that handled your divorce is the obvious First Choice, but any civil court can do it if you have a singed and stamped copy of your divorce decree. Coast, less than $100.. . NEXT, go to the local Social Security Office and apply for a new SOcial Security Card. Take all the court paper work with you, including your divorce decree. You will keep your old SSN, but get a NEW CARD with the new name. Costs vary, but usually less than $50. . When the new SSN card is delivered (usually 7-10 days) go to the License Branch and get a new Driver's License or Picture ID. Take the papers AND the SSN card. Cost: no moe than $20. . After that, ask your employer's HR department how to change you work records, 401K plans, pension, access badging, and anything related to work. Cost: Probably free Don

My sister has been given power of attourney to distribute the assets of my uncle?

Are you sure you want government-run health care?

Even though it may seem unnecessary now, I'd advise you to just leave it with them. You never know what's around the corner. You and your wife and son might all be injured in a car wreck, and *someone* might be needed to authorize treatment for your son.
