The following is taken from a brochure published by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and gives you, the consumer, an idea of what it means to have a board certified attorney on your side.

"An attorney who is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Personal Injury Trial Law must have handled jury trials dealing with matters such as vehicle accidents, worker's compensation, premises liability, products liability, statutory tort claims, maritime accidents, or social security claims which involve a physical or mental injury to a person. The attorney must also have extensive knowledge of the law of evidence, procedure, and other substantive law involved in the trial of personal injury cases.

To become Board Certified in Personal injury Trial Law, an attorney must have:

Been licensed to practice law for at least five years; Devoted a required percentage of practice to personal injury trial law for at least three years;? Handled a wide variety of personal injury trial law matters to demonstrate experience and involvement; Attended personal injury trial law continuing education seminars regularly to keep legal training up to date; Been evaluated by fellow lawyers and judges; Passed a day-long written examination.

Initial certification is valid for a period of five years. To remain certified, an attorney must apply for recertification every five years and meet practice, peer review and continuing legal education requirements for the specialty field."

    Trust.

That one word is what the people we represent were looking for and did not find. They trusted a medical professional who broke that trust by an error directly related to negligence. They trusted a professional to care for a loved one, and they were wronged. The relationship between a care giver and a patient, an attorney and a client, or a corporation and its consumer is based upon a sacred trust that when shattered is often too much to bear.

Unfortunately, we can't turn back the hands of time. Once trust is broken, it is likely that nothing can be done to restore it. We believe, however, in your right to be compensated for the injuries you have suffered as a result of having that trust broken. That is the sole reason we have chosen to direct our firm's sole practice to personal injury law.

Whether you, or a member of your family, have suffered at the hands of a healthcare provider, a hospital, a nursing home, a lawyer, another driver, or by a corporation, our experienced trial attorneys and support personnel are ready to help you. If you are looking for a law firm that will truly fight for you, look to us.

    Our Team.

Our support staff is the backbone of our organization. A group of highly experienced, hard working professionals, they are committed to the ideals of the firm and the successful outcome of each case. All of us at Winckler & Harvey understand the special problems and needs of those who are injured and work closely with our clients to obtain the information needed to achieve successful results.

    Fees.

We work for our clients on a contingent fee basis which means that we are paid ONLY if we obtain a recovery for our client. Bottom line - we are paid for results and our attorneys work hard to obtain the best possible results for our clients. You need not pay in advance to get the best representation.

    Referral Attorneys.

We are pleased and proud to work with lawyers from across the country who want to refer cases to us. If you have a client who you think we may be able to help, please contact us. We will work closely with you to ensure that your client gets the best possible representation and recovery.

We are happy to pay our referral attorneys a share of fees earned in the case. Typically, referral fees are one-third of attorneys fees for in-state cases; and one-fourth of attorneys fees for out of state cases.

We look forward to welcoming YOU to our team.

where to submit? adding a new pharmacist to order. . DEA or California State Board? thanks. try not to get catty and just answer the question. Ooops "narcotics" I was typing from a phone..

My mom put her last name on my social security and birth certficate, and now since her and my dad have been married (since a few months after i was born) I have used my dad's last name. I want to get a job, and do I need to change my SS card ? how would I go about doing so?.

References only get checked once you are offered the job, the offer will be made subject to references, so it might seem a bit forward.. . Sell yourself in the covering letter, you can have a whole page of writing to introduce yourself and tell them how good you are! then send it with your application form or CV which just shows where you have worked and quals etc which should just be 1-2 pages max.. . You can sell yourself well in the letter, because you know that your reference will back up what you say, so be brave!. . Good Luck to you!!

I'm going for a job which could well be the biggest job of my life if I get it...seriously like a once in a lifetime thing. I don't have much experience in the area but I know that I could be really amazing if I was given an opportunity (not everyone in the field has experience for jobs like this but it is preferable). How can I write an amazing cover letter that appeals to the employer on an emotional, personal and professional level? HELP!! It's a huge deal to me..

Writing meeting minutes using company template & agenda?

What university is this so I know not to attend?! From your parents or guardian? How old are you???? If you're in college I'd say your 18+ and last I checked you're an adult and adults can miss things without having mommy and daddy write letters of apologies. I suggest telling your parents you're transferring elsewhere. Or be an adult, and ask mom and dad to write a letter.
