• Ms. Zinns is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area where she first received legal training in 1986. She worked for private firms as well as public entities including representating parties who could not afford legal fees and defending insurance companies in labor and employment issues and thus, she is well familiar with claims handling. She was also trained in international law in Europe by the highest caliber of professors. She obtained her Juris Doctorate in 1998 and has been actively practicing law since 1999. She relocated to San Diego in 2005 with her office now conveniently located at the Melrose Law Center near the Vista courthouse.

  Ms. Zinns has negotiated the majority of her thousands of cases to settlement and has been sole counsel in over 50 trials. Her advocacy skills are impressive and her results exceptional. Are you a laborer or an engineer? Does your position/education allow you to make such a decision? Because what you feel and what you know are two different things. Unless you have the qualifications to make such a statement, I wouldn't worry too much about it. The company still would be held liable for an accident if it should happen unless the paper states that you are taking full responsibility of the structure and your safety yourself. It is hard to say without seeing it, but be careful to read between the lines before you sign anything. If you do have a question either bring it up to management or to a lawyer. Especially if you lose your job over it. They can not make you sign anything that isn't fully explained to you and understood by you. I believe that it is just a form that states that you don't feel that you personally are in danger when you enter work. That you are made to work in an area that you feel is unsafe. I hope I helped. Case:. Ong, a college student, had got a loan form a local bank to pay his educational expenses. After Ong had graduated, the bank e-mailed to him requesting repayment of the loan. Ong refused to repay claiming that he was a minor at the time when he entered into the above loan agreement.. .
