I am currently enlisting in the Navy. My major hold up is that I have physical custody of my son. Is it absolutely necessary that I have his father assume physical custody? Is there any way around this? Could I have him be my sons Power of Attorney?.

Do I mention my previous jobs in my cover letter?

You would need to say what to do in an attack and the symptoms (im sure you could google that for some good advice). Most asthmatics have a reliever inhaler which they take when they start feeling wheezy/out of breath, but most children (probably from about 8+) know when an attack is happening and are pretty good at self-medicating. You could also include that you might not be happy with your child taking part in PE if they have forgotten their inhaler. Also mention that if they need to sit out for a bit then let them! But all in all it shouldn't hinder them actually taking part in activities.
