  • I grew up in the small town of Metuchen, New Jersey but have been a Floridian since attending the University of Florida, both for my undergraduate degree and then for my juris doctorate degree in law school.

My legal career began in Tampa as a Hillsborough County Assistant State Attorney. While there, I prosecuted hundreds of criminal cases on behalf of the State of Florida. Wanting my legal practice to be based in the community in which I lived I became associated with a well respected St. Petersburg personal injury law firm where I developed civil trial skills representing only those who were injured through the fault of another.

Since 1983 I have represented only the plaintiffs in personal injury and wrongful death claims including motor vehicle, motorcycle, commercial trucking, pedestrian, bicycle and moped accidents. These kinds of cases often involve uninsured motorist claims and other types of insurance disputes. My personal injury practice also includes premises liability cases.

In 1991 I joined my husband Steve to form Freeman & Freeman where I have continued to concentrate my practice exclusively in the field of personal injury and wrongful death claims and litigation.

I am a member of the Florida Bar, St. Petersburg Bar Association and the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers. I am admitted to practice before all Florida State Courts.

I am married to my law partner and we have 2 children, ages 19 and 15.

  • This practice arose out of our desire to serve clients on a personal basis rather than through? an impersonal, large firm type atmosphere. Rather than maintain a volume practice, we prefer to work hard to obtain the best results possible for each individual client and for every case. None of our clients' needs are ever ignored.? For 25 years, we have been doing our best to obtain benefits for those with injuries and illnesses that prevent them working.

*********In Response to singlerooky1**********. Although the last four New Testament sources defend purgatory, let's focus on 2 Mac 12:43-46. The Second Book of Machabees is found in the Old Testament, typically from translating Greek texts (Google 'Septuagint'). Yes, Catholic and Orthodox Bibles are translated from those and other texts. Can you explain to me why your Bible doesn't include these books?. . **Scripture**. . 2 Mac 12:46 reads as:. "It is therefore a holy and wholesome thought to pray for the dead, that they may be loosed from sins.". . Would it make sense to pray for someone in either Heaven or Hell?. -- No. They don't need prayers in Heaven, and prayers won't help them in Hell.. . Would it make sense to pray for someone who's on his way to Heaven?. -- Yes. Especially if that state is called Purgatory.. . Why doesn't your Bible have this book?. -- Martin Luther removed it (along with the rest of the deuterocanon) because it provided scripture in the support of Doctrine he opposed..

I have my mothers Power of Attorney which is broad and gives me power to do just about anything. When it comes to a Last Will, she just sticks her head in the pillow. Even though we have talked about it, I need it in writing. I have prepared it pretty much to all her wishes. Since i have a POA can I sign her Last Will? We live in Georgia, USA btw..... I am running out of time, any responses greatly appreciated and links to sources of information even more greatly appreciated. . Thank You Very Much. I know most people would do this in order to take everything. But I actually own everything. My main goal is to keep anyone from entering her apartment without my permission. I have two sisters who are both liars and one is a thief. My mothers actual estate (what I didn't buy for her) is probably worth $2000 or less (sad isn't it) But the thief sister and her so called husband would take everything they could get that wasn't nailed down. I am the ONLY one who has taken care of her for the past several years and never received a dime. Which I don't expect to, not even from her estate. We have actually had fun during these times, it has brought us closer together and no amount of money could buy that. But what I haven't told her is that she may not have enough life insurance to cover funeral cost. So, somehow I/we've got to come up with the difference. And I know my family, They won't give a dime. It's a sad sad situation. Living in GA what if she were to die w/o a will? tks.

A business contract is a legal contract but a legal contract is not necessarily a business contract. Sorry. Just having some fun. Okay, a business contract is a legal contract in that it is legally binding for all parties that have signed it and usually it is also notarized and/or witnessed. A legal contract just means that it is a contract that is legally binding, it could pertain to anything. A marriage is a legal contract, but hopefully at least, not a business contract. However, a real estate deal would be both a legal and a business contract. I hope this makes sense. For more detailed information, I would suggest you Google these terms, but make sure if this is specific to a situation your going through that you check for your state's information since it varies from state to state.
