  • Scott, Kinney & Fjelstad and its predecessor firms have been representing injured and disabled people since 1958. The original name of the firm was Jackson, Ulvestad and Goodwin. The firm later became Jackson, Ulvestad, Goodwin and Grutz, and then transitioned to Goodwin, Grutz and Scott. In 1998 our name changed to Grutz, Scott, Kinney & Fjelstad. We adopted our present name in February 2001. Since its inception, the firm has emphasized the representation of injured and disabled clients. We only represent individuals. The firm does not, nor has it ever represented insurance companies or government agencies. In addition to the injury and disability cases, the firm has more recently begun to accept employment claims, including claims arising from discrimination or harassment based on race, gender, disability, ethnicity, age and religion. We also represent individuals whose wages have been underpaid. Other services are available on a request basis. Most claims are handled on a contingency fee basis, where no fee is charged unless money is collected for the client. Free telephone consultations are available.

Assigning Power of Attorney . If you are ready to create a power of attorney relationship, then you will need to get the necessary power of attorney forms. The form you choose will depend on what state you live in and the type of power of attorney you are creating. You will need to fill out the power of attorney form in its entirety and then sign it in the presence of a notary public. It is essential that you do this correctly, or you could face a situation where you think you have a power of attorney in place, yet you legally do not. Talk to a lawyer to help you choose the correct form. You can also find power of attorney forms that were created by lawyers for sale on the internet. Just be sure that you choose one created by a licensed attorney so that you know it is a legally valid document. You will name the individual you have chosen as your agent on the form. The document remains valid until you create a new power of attorney, revoke it, or die. While not all states require this, filing the document with the County Recorder?s Office will make it official. Be sure to get a certified copy of the document for yourself and for your Agent in case legal questions come up in the future.

I'm recently divorced and will be changing the home phone and internet into my name. Our cell phones are also billed on the same bill. (Home phone and internet is AT&T. Cell phones are Cingular) My ex-husband signed up for a 2 year contract last August and I don't want to continue it. My question is are they going to try and charge me for early cancellation even though it is in my ex-husband's name? I really only want a home phone and internet connection, but do not want to take a chance on getting charged for something my husband purchased. I will be calling the phone company within the next two days, but would like to know if anyone knows my rights regarding the billing. Any help is greatly appreciated!!.

Any legal assistants online?

I'm not sure you really want a letter of intent to apply for a job, but anyway, the 1st link tells you what it is, the 2nd gives a sample letter of intent. I've also included the 3rd and 4th links which give you free sample resumes and sample cover letters for resumes in case you need them.

well if you are looking for any tips, idea or guidelines regarding on how to write a application letter on the guidance you can search it on google or just simply click my resource or reference for some samples of formal letter..they have lots in there..acceptance letter, withdrawal letter etc.

My first daughters father hasn't been around since i was five months pregnant, now he's in prison. . The guy i'm with now (which is the father of my second child) has been around ever since she was 2 months old and she calls him daddy. when we get married we were going to change my daughters last name also so all four of us would have the same last name.. Anyway, me and my boyfriend decided i should file for child support because my daughter deserves it, if i did that, would i still be able to change her last name when we get married?? Right now nobody is on the birth certificate and when they do DNA and all that her biological father will be put on there.. Oh and i don't know if it depends on where you live so just in case i live in TX.
