I hired a lawyer to handle a probate for me in september. Nothing has been done and he won't take my calls. Is there a template for writing a letter to this lawyer to get some closure on this?.

I have United Health Care and it pays for speech therapy up to age 3. My son didn't really start talking until he was about 2 1/2 so I don't think its fair to only have my insurance pay for 4-5 months of therapy. In other words he didn't really need actual speech therapy before because there was no speech to work with. Anyway short of getting an attorney does anyone have any suggestions how I can 'protest' this rule...Anybody out there work for United Health Care?. enginerd. You had 3 children in speech therapy? Was it a medical issue (hearing loss)? How long did it take before you noticed a difference? Do you think it actually helped..what I mean is do you think their speech got better because they got older...or could you actually tell the therapy helped...

My husband and I have been taking care of my sister's 3 children on and off for several years now. My sister is drug addicted and my sister has been in and out of prison over the last 4 years or so. Her husband although I question his ability to parent has stayed clean and sober for the past several years and because of that he has had custody of the children. Unfortunately their father relapsed and got caught buying drugs and now has several charges aganist him and chances are he will also get serious prison time. My husband and I had temporary custody of the children in the past with a power of attorney signed over by both the parents. With my sister already in prison and her husband probably going, the only option for them would be foster care. However, we have agreed to take them. My question is would we have to draft another agreement for custody or would the one we have in the past be good enough? We can't afford a lawyer, so any thoughts would help..
