You need to contact the local county courthouse of the county you live in for these details. The laws and requirements vary by state, and the fees vary by county. Therefore we cannot tell you how much it will cost. There is not a single fee that applies to the whole country. Depending on your county, it can range between $100 and $500. Most localities do not require you to have a lawyer for this. You can take care of it yourself through your county courthouse.. . Once you have the legal name change, you will need to do all of the following:. . 1. Provide a certified copy of the court order to your local social security administration office to have his name changed on his social security card.. . 2. Next, go to your bank and do the same thing for any special accounts or financial things that might be in his name, like savings account, bonds, etc.. . 3. Then have it changed on any legal documents that include him, like wills, medical insurance, etc.. . 4. To change it on his birth certificate you will have to contact the Dept. of Vital Statistics of the state he were born in and follow their instructions on getting it changed on the birth certificate. They will require you to send them an official certified copy of the court order along with whatever forms they ask you to fill out, and any fees they have which is pretty minimal. I would say $25 max. In our state of VA, it is $12.. . 5. On other records like school records and his doctor's office records, you will need to change those right away also. The school may require an official certified copy of the court order, as well as a certified copy of the new birth certificate. The doctor's office will probably just change it at your word..

    thanx.

Hey,I've been married for almost a year now and I took my husband's last name.. We're staying together and everything but now I'd like to hyphenate it with my maiden name.. How would I go about doing that?. Would I just go to the DMV again and get the name on my driver's license changed?. . Thanks...

What are the key basics that every 'Real Estate' investor should know before doing deals?

Hi,. . Before you worry about the algebra, think about rules for adding or multiplying numerical fractions.. . In order to add fractions, they must have a common denominator. If they don't, you must find what you need to multiply times the top and bottom of each fraction to give them a common denominator. Then you can add their numerators together and simplify the results. To get the common denominator you will frequently have to factor the denominator.. . When you multiply fractions, you are allowed to cancel out a factor anywhere on the top with the same factor (or an opposite factor) anywhere on the bottom. this clearly requires finding common factors on the top and bottom. This is much easier with numbers than with algebraic expressions. The bottom line is when multiplying factor everything that has either + or - signs connecting terms.. . #1) combine and express in simplest form:. . y-20.........2. -------- + ------. y?-16......y-4. . Factor the denominator..
