I filed irrreconcileable differences for divorce. My soon to be ex stated that he agreed with everything on the papers except that he wants me to take back my maiden name. I told him that I would have it changed at the hearing and he is going to go ahead and not disagree. But do I have to change my name just because he doesn't want me to keep my married name??? I've got a lot of business contacts, not to mention just the little everyday stuff I'd had to change. I don't see where that can be HIS choice.
