Cover Letter/Follow Up Letter Help?

I'm brand new to Kompozer but it looks like you can use "File-->Open File" from the top pull-down menu and then change the file type to "HTML Templates" at the bottom of the popup that selects a file. . I haven't tried this as I'm looking for templates I like now, but since no one else has answered I thought I'd try.. Good Luck!. jim b

Stats question - finding sample size?

Are you addressing the past four years in your cover letters? If not, recipients are likely wondering why you haven't been employed for four years -- in other words, you need to "fill in the gap" for them.. . If you ARE mentioning the four years in your letters, you might also add something about how you have been exercising your skills during this time, in case they are thinking you may have "gotten rusty.". . A couple of suggestions:. . First, you might consider contacting an employment agency, although you'll have to cough up some money if you're hired by one of their client companies. The rates can be anywhere from 1/10 to 1/12 of your annual salary -- a sizeable chunk of change.. . Second, I highly recommend temping. You basically demonstrate your abilities to the temp agency [via testing in their office], and they can then start placing you for assignments. I temped off and on for about ten years with a great agency, and several assignments morphed into full-time regular employment. The trick with temping is to find out what characteristics the agency values -- what they market to their client companies -- and make sure you demonstrate those things on your assignment. This will earn you a great reputation with your temp agency, which in turn will make them want to place you as often as possible.. . Lastly, you might invest some money in seeing a career consultant to give you advice, redesign your resume, create a new cover letter template that has good energy, etc.. . Best of luck to you!
