You should talk with a number of Real Estate Agents who are well know, and then some not so well know. Ask them what it takes to be successful. Ask them about prospecting, how they handle expenses, etc. Be certain this is what you want and can do once you become licensed. Handling rejection is a biggy. I don't even handle that very well.

For me the question of free will/predestination really depends on the respondents views on other issues. I think depending on whether or not you believe in God (specifically a monothesitic creator) and the nature of your belief in that higher power almost presuppose your opinon on the matter (as an aside, i think its funny that i think the response to this is presupposed). If you dont really believe in a creator i think its far easier to believe we are product of our own free will, because its difficult to understand how we are predestined if there is nothing to make us so. This is a personal opinion of course but i think predestination nearly always assumes some form of creator since there must be some outside influence that shapes our destiny. I think if you believe in a creator it comes down to how strict you think the moral code or the nature of the creator is. If you feel the code is closed or the creator is fairly intrusive then youd be inclined to believe in predestination, since its more like the nature of the creator you believe in. If you believe in a more hands off creator or perhaps a more benevolent creator you may believe we are imbued with freewill.. . This of course understands you can be all across the board and believe in one or the other but its just an observation. As for myself im lead to believe there is a bit more of predestining that free will, but that a lot of it comes from society which may or may not be a manfestation of a creator depending on your view.. . neat summary of everything...... . you may believe this if this..... . free will = either no creator/higher power or a more benign benevolent creator with a less legalistic moral code. . predestination = some form of creator influence (society could count here too to an extent) or a creator with a more legalistic moral code for humans to live by.. . sorry if i never got there, but i think its easier to observe what other people do on this one that to finish wrestling with the question itself.
