using the you form can be complicated as there are two types one is formal and one i guess casual. however when saying '. . - tu doit parler avec - you should speak with (its better to use 'with' than 'to' in french.). - parlez avec tes parents - speak with your parents. the reason why the verb parler here is parlez is because it must be in the imperative form, this simply means it is an order, for example when we say: stop playing, answer me, give it to me...all these phrases begin with a verb that is an order as it doesn't have you he she or it infront.. - when saying 'about' in french there are several ways depending on the context. you can use 'sur', 'au sujet de' or simply 'de' however you have not specified what your sentece is.... - ne t'inqui?te pas: don't worry... it is a reflexive verb so the 't' goes infront of the verb 'to worry' 'inqui?ter' which must also be conjugated to match the subject of the sentence. . - ils pourraient pouvoir t'aider: they might be able to help you...'might' is the same as saying 'could' (check out modal verbs), pouvoir is left in the infinitive as it comes after a verb (could), it means 'to have the power to' which is the same as 'to be able to'. i have added in 'you' infront of 'to help' as it sounds more accurate in french to say to help you rather than what we do in english and drop the word 'you'.. - Ou tu pourrait parler ? ses amis..'or you could speak to her/his friends'...here 'ses' means her (however it relates to something that eblongs to her like my for me and your for you) , it is in the plural as "friends" is plural. in french 'ses' can be used for him or her. it is similar to 'mes' 'tes'.. - help her make is harder to say in french as you have not finshed the sentence, make is 'faire' but sometimes doesn't translate exactly from the english. for example "making a decision" is "prendre une d?cision" in french so they say 'take a decision'. however i'll use 'faire' here because i don't know what you want to say. . "aidez lui ? faire" you may not know why there is 'lui' but in french when saying 'her' or 'him' (not like before where it relates to belongings) you use 'lui'. however it is not as simple as that as lui is only used when something is done 'to' him or her...here it is 'to make'.

It seems to me that your evaluation of the situation is probably correct.. If I were in your shoes I'd have the branch trimmed back so that it's no longer encroaching on her property. . The real purpose of the letter is to establish negligence on your part. If something were to happen, she would produce the letter stating that you were warned and failed to do anything about it. This is the only way that she could obtain a judgment against you in the future.. I wouldn't worry about it too much. She has to have home insurance to cover damage due to natural causes. If your tree is uprooted by a hurricane and lands on her house it's not your fault and negligence isn't a factor.

Our words are not your words. My suggestion - GOOGLE or YAHOO: "how to write a letter of resignation" and you will see many samples, examples, ideas, and templates.

Having a contract is a must. This will protect you as well as himself. Proceeding ahead without one will surely end up with nothing but headaches.

Have you ever read "Letters to the editor" in your newspaper?. . Good source for examples.
