• KIRK G. SMITH: Received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Loyola University, in New Orleans and his law degree (JD) from South Texas College of Law in Houston. Mr. Smith's experience in the brokerage industry is well diversified, from marketing for a smaller specialized Wall Street firm to working as an investment advisor for a major brokerage firm. HI!!!. First off let me state that I am a programmer first and foremost. Design isn't my thing and its all new to me. I have a rudimentary understanding of blend and design as far as creating my own controls and layouts but since I am far from proffessional at this I was hoping to use some of the components, themes, behaviors, etc I found in the gallery. I downloaded a few but its seems each one is its own sln and I couldn't figure out how to edit the components. For example, one was a drop down menu with this cool slide down behavior and I wanted to make the menu blue but try as I might I couldn't change its color. Is there a way to take these parts from the gallery and really manipulate them to what I want visually? Also, how can I bring them into an existing project ( this is the most important part). It was easy to do with the .design files obviously but getting other peoples components into my project in blend is confusing me. Normally, I woulnd't do this sort of work but we have to do a medium-large business app in school and I got chose at random for the front-end work so I am sort of learning as I go in a field I am foreign to. Any info at all about how to incorporate parts from the gallery into my project would be helpful. ANY info at all..

I want to change my last name. My dad divorced my mom after 20 years of marriage and remarried the woman he cheated on her with 6 months later. His family (my dads side) supports his decision and I do not have contact with any of them anymore due to the fact that they destroyed my moms life and act like it was her fault and smile and giggle when I tell them how I feel or tell them off. Should I change my last name? Like I said, I've lost contact with my dad and his whole side of the family and I feel like keeping his last name is shameful and I feel like if I don't change it, I will be forever attached to my father and his side of the family and never be able to move on with my life.
