I am not knocking marriage here...as an institution it is a great thing...but why do women still change their name? IS a woman's name less important? That name is the one her Father or Mother gave her...the one she has been known by all her life....why would you change it just to be the same as your husband? He's your husband whatever he or you are called...some outdated tradition...it comes from the times when the Father of the bride actually gave up responsibility for his daughter...as if she were a belonging...and passed over GAVE HER AWAY...to her new husband..who then effectively OWNED HER! My taxes were done by HR Block and supposed to be filed electronically. My claim were rejected by IRS because they say that someone has claimed me as a dependent. HR Block is now filing by mail and they say that they are straightening this out after I sign over power of attorney to them, My question is whether or not I have the right to find out who this person is..
