Don't do the DIY approach. I've seen many people end up in legal fights becuase the DIY will kit wasn't specific enough.. . Also, depending on how big your estate is, I trust may be a better option for 2 reasons:. . 1) Wills are public information. 2) Wills are contestable in court. . Why is this important?
My mom lives in California and I live in South Carolina. It's just me and my mom and I'm the next of kin. I need to know what can I do before her last days are here. I just want to be prepared. Can someone point to the direction I need to go? Phone numbers and websites, and if there is cost involved will be greatly appreciated. And time is of the essence cause My mom is in her mid-60s.. She is still alive and has all of her facutlties but I just want to be prepared..
