Thank you for your time and attention. . Sincerely,.

Because Jesus taught the Old Testament.. . The New Testament wasn't written until about 45-50 years after Jesus died.. [Jesus was in born about 7BC - 4BC, and died in about 26AD - 29AD, based on our current calendar.]. Many of the authors (John, Matthew, Mark, Peter) were too afraid to express their faith due to the Roman influence in that area up until about 70 AD.. . So, the ONLY "bible" Jesus had to teach from was the JEWISH Bible, the Torah, which Jesus referred to as "The Law and The Prophets", or simply "The Law". Of course Jesus, being God, had "The Law" MEMORIZED, as did many of the human teachers, the Rabbis, of the time (memorization was still required at that time).. . The fact is, Jesus wasn't a Christian, JESUS WAS A JEW, and He taught Judaism!. . The Judaism Jesus taught was the RIGHT form of Judaism that God had intended to be practiced. The Jews of that time were depending on ritual and ceremony, and had perverted many of the ideas that God had caused to be written. So, as Jesus said,. "I came not to abolish The Law, but to fulfill it.". . "The Law and The Prophets" still stands true, and serves now to show us how imperfect we are, which is what God intended. God did not intend for us to think that we could get to Heaven by following "every jot and tittle" of "The Law". No, God caused "The Law" to be written to show us that, no matter how hard we try, there is NO WAY we can be perfect enough to get to Heaven! As the Bible teaches, "To anyone who breaks even the littlest of these laws it is as if he had broken them all.". . So Jesus taught "The Law", what we now call The Old Testament, in order to prove that He (Jesus) is, was, and will always be The Messiah, God in The Flesh, God come to offer forgiveness for the sins we commit because it is NOT POSSIBLE for us to live by each and every law.. . "The Law" is STILL good, STILL meaningful, still useful to us today, and Christians study it and teach from it because Jesus taught from it, and we try to understand how we can make our lives better by following "The Law", but we ALSO learn that we are imperfect and can never be perfect no matter how hard we try.. . So we need Jesus to love us all, and offer forgiveness to those who love Him in return, so that those that show love to God by showing love to His Son can live forever in Heaven WITH Jesus, WITH God, WITH The Holy Spirit because ALL sins are forgiven for those that show love to Jesus and do try to do what He says -- which is ALL listed in The Old Testament, what Jesus called "The Law"..

And to the last person who "answered" this question... I sincerely hope YOU are not a teacher. For the record "cuz" is not a word. Even the best writers may have a hard time writing a cover letter, or letter of intent. It is important, and you want to make sure you get it correct. She was not asking to use someone's letter. She was asking to see samples.
