  Mrs. Apicella was born in Denver, Colorado and moved to the state of Florida during her youth. Mrs. Apicella attended Florida State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science (B.S., 2002). She continued her education at Nova Southeastern University where she earned her Law Degree (J.D., Cum Laude, 2006). While attending Nova Southeastern University, Mrs. Apicella was a member of Nova Law Review, Phi Alpha Delta, and she served on the Executive Board of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (also known as the American Association for Justice).

  Mrs. Apicella is very active in the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar. Mrs. Apicella is the past Chair of the Support Issues Committee (7/2009 -7/2011). She continues to serve on the Support Issues Committee, as well as the Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Committee, Children’s Issues Committee, and Ad-Hoc Finance Committee. Mrs. Apicella is the Co-Chair of the Legislation Committee and she also serves on the Executive Council of the Florida Bar Family Law Section.

  Mrs. Apicella is also very active in the Broward County Bar Association. She is the Past-Chair (2011-2012) of the Family Law Section of the Broward County Bar Association.

  She has performed classes/seminars for the Collier County Bar Association – Legislative Update (October 2012) and the Broward County Bar Association – Legislative Update (April 2103).

  Her awards and accolades include the Significant Efforts Award from the Florida Bar, Family Law Section (2012, 2013); Outstanding Service, Dedication and Loyalty from the Florida Bar, Family Law Section (2010-2011); Extraordinary Service from the Florida Bar, Family Law Section (2010-2011); Rising Stars from Super Lawyers (2009-2011); and Chair's Special Award of Merit from the Florida Bar, Family Law Section (2009-2010).
