You know, I am thinking that you are overqualified for a clerk receptionist position. You probably need to look for jobs that better align with your qualifications.. . Your resume is OK. Cut down on your list of personal qualities in your letter of inquiry. Leave out most of them and concentrate on the ones that match the job duties.

The best way to do it - go to the office. Bring in an ID with you name before you got married and your marriage certificate (original or certified by the custodian). Go to the office first thing in the morning - some are normally open at 8:30AM. If you mail it in, you have to mail your original ID and documents, by the time the office receives it it will be a few days and it takes about 12 days to get your card with your new name, then you don't know if you are going to receive your documents back. Take a day off - make a day of it, go shopping when you are done at Social Security. Good Luck.
