What assurance does a person have that their communication with an attorney stays there? I mean he is likely going to go in, sit for a few hours, pay the attorney $500 or something and then nothing happens, that attorney is sitting on all that info? And he might think, this guy will fork up $25,000 for me to defend him if the authorities know his mistake.

No, a market economy where you have you democratically elected government plan for the inevitable ups, downs, malfeasance, and unsustainable practices of a 'free market' with adequate social policy, regulation and rule of law, as well as insure investment in the human capital of the nation where the market will not adequately provide (education, medicine, science) works better. When you 'plan' an economy you become invested in the plan, and not so much the impact on people's lives, even when the detrimental results of said plans are manifestly obvious.

some changes have been made in the policy of most states for simple name changes because of federal legislation that has come about because of 9/11. Additionally, hiring an attorney will save you from many headaches. Just be sure to get a firm quote from your attorney for all fees up front and get more than one quote as fees can vary from firm to firm.. . Other notes: Your attorney should get your revised birth certificate for you as part of the process and you can use that to get all of your other identification and account information changed. Also, your current surname will not be completely removed from your birth certificate, in that, they put you new name where the current one is and put a notation at the bottom of the certificate that the name has been changed from X to Y. Finally, if you are a minor you must have you parent?s permission to have your name changed.

So which one is the correct spelling? No you can't just call social security and tell them your story and they will send you your new social security card. If the name on your card is incorrect then you need to take your birth certificate and proof of ID to the office and apply for a replacement card. ID can be a school record showing name and date of birth or age or any other record which gives that information. If the name is misspelled on your passport then you should be correcting the passport.

In order to work with that card you need to show the employer your green card ("Valid for work only with DHS authorization" social security card is not a group C document for I-9).. . Definitely go back to social security and request a correction, since they fucked up as permanent residents get an unstamped social security card.

This is very, very good. I made a few small changes.. . It is a true pleasure for me to write this letter of recommendation for Marianna Amaral as part of her application to the JET Programme. Marianna was my student in Telejournalism II, Telejournalism III and History of Journalism. In addition, I was her supervisor on her monograph. Throughout my experience with her, she proved to be a model student.. . She is very conscientious about her work and always works hard to get the best results. Her monograph demonstrates an attention to detail and an ability to integrate material to create larger frameworks for discussion.. . I believe that Marianna's strong academic abilities and her clear dedication make her a very strong candidate for the application at JET Programme. If there are any questions I can answer, please feel free to contact me.
