Though not such a great idea if you want to use them as a reference

I do think it would be great if men were to start taking their wive's names or if couples kept the same name and children could have some combination of the two or either parents name or if couples when they get married were to create their own new last name from a combination of both their family names to signify family unity.

either name sounds pretty classy like an MD should be after the name.. . When I was in my 20's I worked in a very small office with about 5 Judy's. They asked me to use something else and so I used Julie throughout my career. I often thought about changing my name legally to Julie but just never got around to it. Strangely enough, when I retired I began using my formal name of Judith and was very glad that I never changed it legally. I feel that Judith suits me.. . Here's what I suggest: Get used to the name. Say it often. Perhaps going as far as asking people to call you that or telling people you meet that your name is Sebastian
