  • Erin A. Schaub Easley joined the firm in May 2005. Erin's experience working in the firm's litigation practice, in conjunction with her litigation accomplishments during law school, allows Erin to skillfully guide clients through the overwhelming process of civil litigation.

Erin's practice focuses on business and commercial litigation. She represents business clients in disputes arising out of the client's relationship with other companies, the client's internal affairs, and the client's compliance with State and Federal law.

Erin commonly handles lawsuits arising out of contract disputes, including construction contracts; partnership disputes; claims of fraudulent business practices; claims for breach of fiduciary duty; violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA); and violations of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Erin also assists clients with employment law issues, including preparing employment and independent contractor agreements; preparing noncompetition, non-solicitation, and nondisclosure agreements; creating or revising employment manuals; representing companies through investigations by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC); and representing companies in claims for unemployment compensation with the Georgia Department of Labor.

While Erin is prepared to zealously advocate for her clients, she also strives to resolve disputes before a lawsuit is ever filed. Erin represents business throughout the greater Atlanta area, including Fulton, Forsyth, Gwinnett, Cobb, Cherokee, Walton, and neighboring counties.

Erin graduated from the Georgia State College of Law, where she was awarded her Juris Doctor. During law school, Erin earned the highest grade in her Advanced Trial and Litigation class as well as the highest grades in her section for Legal Research and Writing I, Civil Procedure I, and Civil Procedure II. Erin was one of four second-year law students selected to compete as attorneys on the College of Law's Student Trial Lawyers Association team, where she participated in and won the regional 2010 National Trial Competition, then advanced to place sixth at the national level. Erin also led her team to place third in the 2011 American Association of Justice competition.

Erin's trial acumen and presentation skills were recognized in her Advanced Evidence class as well, where she received the "Best Courtroom Procedure, Presentation, and Decorum" award. Erin also received several scholarships in law school for her academic achievements and her trial abilities, including the Sarah and Michael Salomon Scholarship and the Georgia Civil Justice Foundation Scholarship.

Erin received her B.A. in English from the University of North Georgia, where she served as President of the Sigma Tau Delta Honor Society, a University Ambassador, and the Secretary for the national Delta Zeta Sorority. She also spearheaded many community service projects, including raising money for local women diagnosed with breast cancer. Erin received the Inman Writing Award, which is awarded to the top first-year English student. Erin was recognized as a University of North Georgia "Who's Who Student," given to students who are recommended by a professor for overall excellence, approved by classmates, and ultimately approved by the University's administration and faculty. The English and Honors Program faculty at University of North Georgia selected Erin's senior paper, Understanding Bradbury's Villain in Fahrenheit 451, for publication in the University's honor journal.

Since she was first introduced to the courtroom through the Georgia Bar Association's High School Mock Trial Program while a student at Milton High School, Erin now enjoys coaching high school teams involved in the Bar Association's Mock Trial Program. Erin volunteers to judge local law school mock trial competitions as well.

Erin and her husband John live in Alpharetta, Georgia. Erin enjoys traveling, photography, and making her own jewelry.

Skip two lines and type in the person's full name and company's full address. Skip two lines and address the person or agency as such:. . If you do not know the persons name of whom you are addressing, then type in Attention Hiring Personnel Department. Skip two lines and introduce yourself and state your letter of interest.. . Let them know why you are interested in the open position and let them know that you are a fast learner, sharp, willing to be trained, and get along well with co-workers and Supervisors and have no problems with being asked to do something in regards to your position.. . Make sure you state your interest clearly and leave a contact number so that they can reach you.. . Use your Teachers as professional references.. . I hope you get the position!

And last, but not least, you will need to decide if a Civil internship is worth having if it is unpaid. If this is an option, it is another arsenal in your tool bag when you make the phone call (don't offer that info in your written information, it is a bargaining chip to be played later if necessary). If financial compensation is required, then you may also want to pursue other summer job opportunities even if they don't seem to directly relate to Civil professional experience.
