  APPELLATE PRACTICEMark’s appellate cases include:Lipsitt v. Plaud, 466 Mass. 240 (2013). In this case Attorney Zarrow prevailed before the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court in overturning a lower court decision, which dismissed a claim for unpaid wages under the statute of limitations. He also convinced the Court to overturn the lower court’s holding that the individual who ran the defendant corporation could not be held personally liable.Carpenter v. Carpenter, 73 Mass.App.Ct. 732 (2009). Based on Attorney Zarrow’s argument the Massachusetts Appeals Court overturned the lower court’s ruling that the former husband’s municipal pension could be partly assigned to the former wife, where almost twenty years had elapsed since the original divorce.Cormier v. Quist, 77 Mass.App.Ct. 914 (2010). Attorney Zarrow convinced the Massachusetts Appeals Court to remand the case to the trial judge because the judge had not considered that the child was in his mother’s sole custody, in a case that was brought to determine whether the child, who was born out of wedlock, should have his mother’s, as opposed to his father’s, surname.

I am entering a non-profitable street level innovation idea competition and on the entry form it states that my chances would be increased if I can also include a business model. Due to the nature of the competition and my lack of business skills I just want to give them a very short business model, but the 'basic' ones I google is still too extensive and covers all sorts of irrelevant things.. . My idea is basically to take unemployed people and make them mini tourist guides (in a very creative and entertaining way - which is why I have so much faith in this and which is where my costs will come in). Costs will be clothing and training and printing of business cards and membership cards, allthough I think I will get a lot of this done free or cheaply due to it being non-profit and for a good cause.. If you can just name the basic topics any business plan should cover, that would help alot. .

Hi, I'm a 14 year old girl (15 in October) and just graduated grade 9. I'm looking for a job at a local grocery store (Food Basics) because it is in walking distance of my house but I've never applied for a job before though I do have a lot of volunteer experience (babysitting and taekwondo assistant-no pay) and I would like to know how to make a very successful resume and they linked their application form on their site so should I print it out and fill it out at home to show I did my research or just ask for one there? And what position should I apply for? I was thinking a cashier or clerk maybe? And how does this whole "Applying for a job" thing work? Like from the second you ask for an application sheet to the interview to the first day on the job? Thanks so much, it's so confusing to me.

It's "quitclaim".. . Your stepmother owned the house and established a life estate and a remainder interest. When your stepmother died, her life interest, if any, was extinguished.. . Your question does not make clear if anyone shared a life interest, nor who holds the remainder interest. If your stepmom retained a remainder interest, then it gets probated under her Will or in intestacy.. . If your dad has a life interest, he has sole right to live there (but can allow others to live there too, of course, until his death). On his death that life interest is extinguished and the remaindermen (whoever has the remainder interest in the trust) takes.. . So long as one trustee is still alive there is no need to do anything. But I would advise the appointment of a co- or successor-trustee now, because if your father gets Alzheimers it's going to cost a bundle to get a guardian for him.. . Have him sign a living will and a medical proxy. But those won't solve the trust issue I mention: only a successor or co-trustee will.
