I recently had to teach a class how to write the alphabet. Much to my surprise the letters in the teacher's guide were much different from the way we were taught (not that long ago) in teacher's college. The same seems to be true of cursive writing. Where can I get examples of all?. Ok, getting every answer but the right one.. . I want to know:Does the lowercase q end with our without an upstroke? Is the vertical line of the A on or under the line ? etc......... This is handwriting and typography in print doesnt help me..

No, you need to do it yourself. I personally went over to the NYC DOH to do this when I changed my first name. Otherwise you'll need to mail it as stated.
