  • Gary D. White, Jr. was born in Topeka, Kansas and has lived the majority of his life in the Topeka community. After graduating from high school, Mr. White attended Washburn University of Topeka where he received a B.B.A. in economics. Mr. White then attended the Washburn University School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor in 1991.

    After law school, Mr. White joined the law firm of Schroer, Rice, P.A. where he had worked as a law clerk during law school. While at Schroer, Rice, P.A., Mr. White was mentored by Gene E. Schroer, a noted Kansas trial lawyer handling plaintiff's personal injury litigation. In November 1998, Mr. White joined the law firm of Palmer, Lowry & Leatherman and became a partner with the firm on January 1, 1999.

    Mr. White has been licensed to practice law in the State of Kansas since 1991, the United States District Court for the District of Kansas since 1991, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit since 1991. Mr. White has argued several cases in Kansas Appellate Courts and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.

    Mr. White has been an active member of the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association since 1991 and on the Board of Governors since 1994. Mr. White has also held the office of Vice President of Education (1998-99) and has served on the Board of Editors of the Journal of the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association from 1995 to the present. Mr. White has written amicus briefs in support of KTLA's position in the following cases: Morgan v. Abay, 252 Kan. 853 (1993), Long v. Turk, 265 Kan. 855 (1998), Reeves v. Carlson, 266 Kan. 310 (1998), and Wilson v. Knight (decision pending).
