  • After receiving a bachelor's degree, Jay Calhoun worked at IBM and then went to work for notable non-profit organizations in New York. After gaining valuable experience, Jay took that experience and began working for prestigious colleges in a variety of administrative positions, including Assistant Dean of Students at a prestigious New England women’s college. Jay then obtained a master’s degree and shortly thereafter enrolled in Arizona State University College of Law.

    During law school, Jay was the first recipient of the Mark Wilmer Integrity Award. She also won first prize for Arizona State University, Nathan Burkan Award (ASCAP) for her paper entitled Copyright, Faculty and the University Concept of Substantial Use of Resources – Who owns what? After law school, Jay clerked for the Honorable Patricia A. Orozco, State of Arizona Court of Appeals. After her clerkship, Jay worked for two boutique business law firms and was in-house counsel for a major dietary supplement company in Chandler, Arizona. In 2009, Jay opened her own firm and happily continues her business law practice and pro bono work.
