  • David Slaby is an experienced trial attorney, having previously practiced law in southwest Missouri. In his first nine years of practice he handled cases in all areas including family, juvenile, and criminal law, representing victims of personal injury and negligence, probate matters, guardianships of children and adults, worker's compensation, general civil litigation, and appellate work. He is licensed to practice in Missouri and Kansas and has represented clients in both state and federal court.

Mr. Slaby received his law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1998. He was a member of the national trial team and served as articles editor for the Urban Lawyer Law Journal.

He was a partner at McCaffree, Landoll & Slaby in Nevada, Missouri until moving to St. Louis in 2008. He now practices law with the Family Law group at Paule, Camazine & Blumenthal, and, in addition, handles personal injury cases for victims and their families as well as general litigation.

In addition to trying many family law cases to judges including divorce, child custody, and support modifications, paternity cases, contested adoptions, contested guardianships, termination of parental rights, child abuse and neglect cases, and adult abuse and child order of protection cases, Mr. Slaby has obtained successful jury verdicts in civil, criminal, and probate cases. He has also served as guardian ad litem in many contested family law and probate cases.

This diverse experience has given Mr. Slaby a tremendous ability to assess all issues in the most complex divorce cases. He has an intuitive sense of what evidence to present to the court and how to present it and is a persuasive advocate for his clients. He also has the special talent of being able to negotiate and settle the most complex cases with even the most difficult adverse parties.

Mr. Slaby is a member of the Missouri Bar, Kansas Bar, and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis. He was one of only 11 lawyers selected across the state as a member of the 2006-2007 Missouri Bar Leadership Academy.

Mr. Slaby is a past president of the Vernon County United Way and the Vernon County Library Board. He served as a board member on the Vernon County Literacy Council and Community Outreach. David served two years as the legal mentor for the YMCA Youth in Government Program.

David is married and lives in Eureka, Jefferson County, Missouri. He has two young boys who occupy his remaining free time. His love for family and children gives him the sensitivity and zeal for helping clients and their children in difficult times.

  • In late 1993, Don Paule, Alisse Camazine and Tom Blumenthal, decided to set off on a new endeavor in their practice of law. They each came from a different legal discipline: Don focusing on corporate and estate planning work, Alisse concentrating on domestic relations, and Tom principally handling complex civil litigation. There were few mid-size St. Louis Firms that combined these disciplines together, particularly including domestic relations, so that the lawyers could use the experience of each discipline to enhance the service provided by the others. They set out to create a mid-size law Firm that has the feel of a boutique law Firm without the limitations of a single disciplinary focus. They brought together others they had worked with at other Firms with experience in real estate, intellectual property, insurance defense and tort litigation, and tax law.

Equally important in 1993, no middle or large size law Firm in St. Louis was headed by a woman, or had a woman in the name of the Firm. Even today, only a few middle or large size Firms in the Greater St. Louis Area other than Paule, Camazine & Blumenthal, P.C. boast a woman as one of the named members of the Firm. These commitments to diversity in practice areas and diversity in staff composition became a Firm of 15 experienced lawyers from diverse fields known as Paule, Camazine & Blumenthal, P.C., starting on January 1, 1994, and growing to the Firm it is today.

If sisters are listed on a power of attorney for the mother do they both need to sign checks?

How do I upload a web template?

jessssss.

I want to print two landscape slides to create a poster larger that the printer would allow me. The poster is made out of two A1 slides. For this it would be great if I could make the background turn 180 degrees on the second page. I work with (free) template files, not photo backgrounds.. I want the image that is on the top of the first slide to be on the bottom of the second slide.

....contrary to some people who like to pull answers out of their back ends without taking time to research them first..

I am looking for a generic form that is used to establish a testamentary and/or inter vivos trust. This is for a pre law class that I am taking and I cannot seem to find this form anywhere.
