so i am an UK resident but i have an Indian passport and i want to change my first name, does anyone know?

I understand all the legal jargon about changing my name legally, I just want some advice on what to do before and afterwards.. . My mother and father have agreed to let me legally change my name when I'm 16, which is the legal age of individual consent for adults changing name via Deed Pole, as a kind of birthday present.. . My reasons? My surname is Smith, and I intend to do medicine and become a doctor, and I refuse to be yet another anonymous Dr. Smith. Also, the name 'Smith' is a patronymic, meaning I inherited it from my father, and as a feminist I would rather have my own name rather than be forced to use my father's my whole life. I'm a very independent person, and although I have nothing against my family, I just want that little gap.. . I have my GCSE's this year, but I doubt all the documentation will have gone through by then, and my current legal name has already been submitted to the exam board, so my current name will be on my certificates. But for my AS and A levels, I can have my new legal name on the certificates because I'll be 16 or older, and have finished the process.. . What do I want to change my name to? My current name is Robin Gabriella Gwenfair Smith. My parents were a little crazy when they had me and decided it was a good idea to name me after a bird, then an angel, then my crazy great aunt when I was confirmed (against my will). I want to change it to Robin Gabriel. I don't really know if I should take another middle name, but I certainly don't want to keep Gwenfair. I was thinking of names that I like, but I have a whole year to decide that. 'Gabriel', not for the angel but because it's a variation of Gabriella, so I still have the vestiges of my old name.. . Any advice? Any middle names that go well between R and G? Have any of you done this before?. . (Deed Pole is the UK's name changing service).

Take your marriage certificate to the social security office and apply for a new social security card. Some states make you wait until you get your new card to do anything else and some will give you a paper stating your new name and social security number. Kentucky does this. Then take the paper/new card to the DMV to get your new drivers license. After you do that just go around with your new license and social security card and change your name everywhere that you had your old last name. Cell phone, car title, bank, utilities, things like that. Congrats on your marriage.
