  • "A firm the size of KoonsFuller can call upon resources that few family law firms have available to them."

Heather King is the complete family lawyer, one of the few family law attorneys with extensive experience from the beginning of a case, through trial or settlement to the handling of an appeal. Because of her range of talents, she is called upon to handle trials and appeals throughout the state.

She joined KoonsFuller in 2007 as Managing Partner of the firm's Southlake office. Ms. King is President of the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists and a former President of the Tarrant County Bar Association.

D Magazine has selected her as one of the Best Women Lawyers in North Texas. For several years, Fort Worth, Texas Magazine has recognized her as one of the area's top attorneys and The Best Lawyers in America has honored her as one of Texas' Best Lawyers. She has been named every year to the list of the Top 50 Women Lawyers in the state and Texas Super Lawyers.

Ms. King began her association with the legal profession as a receptionist for a Fort Worth firm while an undergraduate at Texas Christian University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in 1987. She earned her Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law in 1995.

She is board certified in family law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She is a member of the Family Law Council of the State Bar of Texas, a past President of the Tarrant County Family Law Bar Association and a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.

Ms. King is especially proud of her published appellate cases, many of which are found in the annotations to the Texas Family Code. While her practice is evenly divided between appellate and trial work, she believes the fine sense of detail that leads to a successful appeal makes her better in the courtroom or in a settlement conference.

"In most divorce cases, a client will have just one attorney," she says. "But every so often, a case is so large and complex that you need expertise in such areas as tax law, real estate and business valuation. At KoonsFuller, I can call upon the necessary resources to be successful in a case of any size."

Clients at many large law firms often feel as though they have to “take a number” when they have questions or concerns regarding their case.

While KoonsFuller is the largest firm dedicated solely to family law in the Southwestern United States and one of the largest in the entire nation, we believe that the large firm benefits of experience, resources and reputation are not mutually exclusive to personal attention and responsive service.

As it has been since the firm began in 1978, each of our clients is entitled to his or her own personal crusader who will be with them for the duration of their case. With more attorneys than a typical family law firm, KoonsFuller also has at least one lawyer who is perfectly suited to each client, no matter the size of the marital estate or the complexity of the lives concerned. Our roster of 29 attorneys represents a mix of pioneering Texas family lawyers, courtroom veterans and outstanding young talent, and includes 14 Texas family law specialists certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

The real estate is in Michigan.

I'm guessing that by Online Gaming you mean like World of Warcraft and Guild Wars rather than Call of Duty and Battlefield?. . In that case, I think people look down on the online gaming community because they don't see why it's so interesting (and I have to say, with all due respect, I am one of those people). Yes Video Games are a form of media, but playing hour after hour on an MMO is not like reading a book or watching a movie, not in my opinion anyway.. . I like to think of it like this, playing through the story/campaign of a video game is like watching a series of movies, or reading a book. The creator has built something for you to experience but your opinion on that experience may be completely different to someone elses even though they had the exact same experience.. . Playing an online game is like being at an amusement park with your friends, or if you play alone, its like being at an amusement park on your own. The thing that has been created is meant for your experience, but your experience of it could be completely different to someone elses. You might spend 4 hours running around having fun with your friends while another person might sit on the teacups for hours on end wallowing in misery because they don't have anyone to play with.. . I guess what that guy was trying to tell you is that these online games can be great fun, but a lot of the time they are filling a gap in your life. Lots of people turn to online games because they get a sense of accomplishment from them when they can't feel accomplishment in the real world. Others turn to them for socialising because they can be someone else online. I remember doing it myself, my parents wouldn't let me out of the house so I would play Runescape instead to fill the void. But as much fun as I had with that, it felt a million times better when I moved away from the computer and did something that gave me real life accomplishment and I was allowed to socialise with my friends. And now I wouldn't trade it back for the world.

Please use the following format for your business letters:

I'm writing a book of letters to all the people who've changed my life good or bad, people i need to thank, people i need to say something to but can't face to face. my first love and ect.... There will also be poems and short stories.. So what do you think?. Please include your age so i know who and who it wouldn't appeal to when it comes to age.. Thanks...

I need to get a healthcare power of attorney going.?

You will also need to find a "certificate provider" to speak privately with your mum to make sure she understands the powers she is giving to you and to check there isn't any fraud or pressure put on her. The certificate provider signs the form to confirm these things. The certificate provider can be someone your mum has known for two years or someone who has a professional skill or knowledge of the situation. For example, it could be a doctor, social worker or solicitor.. . When you apply to register a Lasting Power of Attorney, there is a fee of ?130. This fee is waived if you're in receipt of certain benefits.
