The new rules for better resumes start with the fact that there are fewer rules. There's an opportunity for some creativity, but not for gimmicks. What works today is conservative style and a focus on a key achievements - especially those that are of particular interest to the reader.

There are three main paragraphs that need to be included in any application / cover letter:. . 1st paragraph: say where you heard about the position (friend, website, job fair) and say a little about you in very few words (major, graduation). . 2nd paragraph: explain why you are so good for this position. Be specific in linking your activities to their needs (you need to be good with wording here). It is important to show them what you have to offer, not what you see they can offer you.. . 3rd paragraph: restate the position you're interested in, and offer your availability for more discussion and interviews.. . Now try to adapt each of them to your education, preparation and skills. Try to mention activities you did that can relate to the position at the playschool.

I can see the original location going with Jazz, New Orleans Jazz. But, when they moved to Utah that should've been the first change... the name. Somehow, all these years later, they are still the Utah Jazz. I don't think there's a team in any sport aside from the Jazz that is so far off from their location. It would be like a team called the Boston Dolphins... just not right.. "Dude" I don't like the name and I see the point with the Lakers, Minnesota is the land of 10,000 lakes...
