It sounds like your name has been changed since birth, and your correct name is on your social security card. You just need to take a copy of the document that changed your name (adoption paper, marriage license, divorce decree, court order, etc.) with your other papers to the Finance and Administration office to get your ID.. I'm not sure why it would be the case, but If the name on your birth certificate is the correct one, you can (and should, because you'll need it to get a job!) apply for a corrected social security card at your local social security office or through the mail. It only takes about a week to receive the new card in the mail.

The reason an extra bedroom is listed as a "Loft" rather than a bedroom is because of the septic size or septic plans of the home. These regulations vary by state, (& sometimes county) but a home builder or real estate agent often bypass the restrictions of number of bedrooms by listing them as a Loft instead, which could be considered basic living space.
