A rule of thumb I learned several years ago is that it takes about 1 month to find a job for every $10,000 in yearly salary (or $5/hour) you want to make. os if you need to make $15/hour, it may take 3 to 4 months to find a good job.. . One thing I don't see on here is your education. If you have any college you need to list it. Otherwise You are in good shape.. . GOOD LUCK

A Cry of Stone. by: Michael D. O' Brien. . I've read many well-written books in my lifetime, Cole, but none of them touched me as profoundly as this one did. Mr. O 'Brien's syntax is intelligent and vivid and never resorts to being cloy and supercilious. The main character, Rose, is a Native American born into near destitution on the Canadian prairies. She is abandoned by her mother and dead-beat dad in 1940 and is raised by her frail and wise grandmother. A motherly and discerning school teacher discerns Rose's precocious talent for drawing. The teacher nurtures this gift and Rose is sent away to boarding school to receive an education and further develop her talent. Rose is born with a bad case of scoliosis, so she deals with the pain in the best way she can. Self-pity is not part of Rose's character.. . The story focuses on Rose's exposure to the rapid changes in society from the early 1960s until 1973. She leaves the tranquility of her prairie home and struggles to understand fickle human nature within the noisy metropolis of Ontario. Throughout the late 1960s, her travels take her to parts of Europe and England. Along the way, she touches the lives of those around her. Some ignore the unassuming, diminutive cripple. Others abuse her naivete. A few discover that Rose is truly a beacon of integrity with an artistic gift. Her love for art and fraternal charity helps these souls to accept Rose's gift of joy for living with them.. . My favorite part of the book is when Rose visits a hospital ward dedicated to abandoned, special-needs children and adults. Her tender encounter with a mute boy named Jimmy Doe is exceptionally beautiful and I eagerly read it aloud to my wife. When I finished that section of the chapter (with Rose closing the door to the ward) I looked up to discover my wife was quietly and unashamedly weeping.
