Some advice on my ex girlfriend problems?

Plus there is no Will or anything that states what he wanted to do with his things other then what he has told us. These people have done nothing but take from him and now they are going to try and take all that is left of him and my Grandmother. How can I or anyone else in the Family obtain a copy to find out if there is a Power of Attorney or try to fight it? And also is this Legal being that she is not his Biological or legal daughter? What can I do to protect what is left of my Grandfathers possessions?.

does he know he has a child? tell him you just found out about him, missed having a father all this time and was wondering if he'd maybe like to start a relationship by writing letters. Then briefly tell him how old you are, a little about yourself and leave it at that. Keep in mind that getting a letter after many years of having no contact with you might be overwhelming for him. I don't know the background story. Does he know about you? Why is he in prison? is he healthy? (is he in jail for killing someone or something more minor? does he know his crime was wrong or is he mentally ill and unable to rehabilitate in prison?) Please remember that being a sperm donor doesn't mean he's a father. Being a father means he's a role model, supportive, loves you and would die for you. Send him a letter to start up a relationship and see where it goes. If he isn't willing to play that role in your life, don't push it. On the other hand, it is very possible that he is sorry for whatever landed him in prison, he cares about having a child and would love to catch up and learn more about you. Perhaps finding out he has a child will motivate him to be a better person and be a good role model for you. Who knows. Anyway, just write him a short letter introducing yourself and leave it at that.
