PS. It says nothing about managerial discretion for my core hours just flexi.. Also, some employees have contracts between the core hours of 8am-8pm, but they are not allowed to work past 5 due to no managerial supervision so they are restricted. Another breach?. Julvrug-. . I have a signed contract with my employer.. If a company stipulates your core hours, they should have already taken into consideration what they required you to work for coverage. By accepting the role, I have met their terms. If they required coverage on specific times, the contract would've stated that.. . Managerial discretion is not used in my contract. The contract merely states that the company has a flexible working policy, which I don't have to be part of. Managerial discretion is included in that policy. But, the point I was making was that working within my core hours is seen as flexi if I try to sway from the 9-5 routine but it's not.. . On what legal grounds can a company set specific hours without consulting the person affected? If they did this to someone who could only work certain hours a week, they could be sued for constructive dismissal (forcing someone out of a job).. . There is no managerial discretion clause used in my contract of employment..

I have sole custody of my kids with a court order. Recently they went through a legal last name change and their passports show their new names. Will I have problems traveling since the court order and passport show two different name? I also have a long for, birth certificate that I got when they changed names. I need someone with experience in this field. I can also get a notarized affidavit saying they are one and same person.
