Can an effective cover letter show real earnestness?

The templates provided by most companies are completely editable. In fact, once you have the template, you can use as little or as much as you want. The real trick to have a good understanding of (X)HTML and CSS. That's where the real guts of a web page template lie. As long as you feel confident enough to tweak the code, you're gold.. . Now, if you're a little less skilled and you want to use an app like Dreamweaver, GoLive, FrontPage, Expression or anything of that kind, you can usually open the template file and do the changes you'd like to images, colors, text or anything using the editing tools in those programs. But your greatest control comes when you can edit the code.

I was thinking about changing my name, and I was wondering how that would affect me at school. I am a college student, and I was wondering what would happen if I didn't update my info at the university I'm attending, and instead just applied to a new school under the new name. Would that wipe out the credits that I have already attained, and start me over as a freshman student, or does that only happen if my ssn changes? This is something that I've been wondering for a while, so any help that you can give me would be greatly appreciated!.

My power of attorney (my mother) co signed (with my permission because I was in another state for the Army) for financing for my brothers business. His business failed and we were both sued several years after he closed his business. A default judgment was made against both of us. Here is where I'm hoping I have some options. I was served at my parents house, where I did not live (my mother no longer had power of attorney at this time). Is there any way I can get out of this due to the fact that I was not served properly. I have also never recieved any paperwork from the court or the finance company (btw, the finance company has been labled a loan shark). If I can get out of this, will they just sue me again or just continue to go after my brother and leave me alone? Also, I live in Ohio where the business was located, but the law suit was in Indiana. Any advice is appreciated..

Three years ago I purchased an above ground pool...big one...28' x 52". We installed it and the husband was supposed to put up a safety fence but did not. He also would constantly forget to remove the ladder from the pool and a 4 year old wandered over and almost fell in.. . We are getting a divorce. I am leaving the property, which may be sold, but the ex will be staying in the property for now. I am still on the deed until we either sell it or the ex can obtain refinancing in his name only and buy me out.. . I am concerned (as I made certain the ladder was not in the pool) that a child could be injured or killed...taking a life and of course (please don't call me heartless for being concerned about legalities) but I could be then sued for not having a fence up to keep children away from it.. . Neither of us have filed for divorce at this point...I am moving on Monday of next week. Legally, due to my concerns about safety and legalities, could I be held liable in a divorce case if I gave the pool away to a friend this weekend before I leave?.

Most real estate agents are independent contractors, and thus are self employed. You will file a Schedule C and you get to deduct a lot of your business expenses. In general real estate licensing fees and dues are deductable (the portion of the NAR dues used for the political action campaign is not deductable, but the rest is). Keep a log of your business use of your car and track mileage. I buy a weekly planner each year and keep it in my car. I record my business mileage along with the purpose, and also note tolls, parking, car washes, and other car expenses there as well. You must have a mileage log, or the IRS can reject your mileage deduction in an audit.. . If you don't already use someone to prepare your taxes you might want to find someone know and have them tell you more. (I'm not a tax advisor - so I do recommend you speak to a professional. You can also check the IRS website for their publications.)
