    I?m not sure putting the argument forward that you were under emotional stress having just lost a brother and that this blurred your judgement will get you much mileage.. . If these same agents were sued in the past for a similar practise [though they won their case] that to me would be a huge red flag as to how they operate.. . You said they became very agitated when you suggested increasing the asking price. That is not working in your best interests. A lawyer could tell you if this could be considered coercion.. . If you have an email outlining how they came up with a listing price [that in hindsight was way too low] hang on to it.. . You said it has been 3 years. Do you mean it has been 3 years since the sale of your mother?s home? You may want to find out whether or not you can still sue these agents. Usually in civil cases there is a 2 year time limit. After that time you are out of luck. I don?t know when it comes to real estate deals.. . If this were me and there were a couple of hundred thousand dollars at stake I would be getting in touch with a lawyer who handles these kinds of cases. The consult is generally free. If you are still able to sue and the lawyer thinks you have a case you will either pay as you go along [will be costly] or he/she will work on a contingency basis. This means you pay nothing if you lose the case. If you win, you will pay an agreed upon percentage of the settlement. I really do not know whether you have a case here or not but if I could get a lawyer willing to work on a contingency basis I would go for it.
