  • Lin Kahn's practice focuses on antitrust litigation, complex commercial litigation, class actions, and health care cases. She has a broad range of experience managing all aspects of litigation, from challenges to complaints, to managing discovery, to expert work, to summary judgment, and through trial. Lin has drafted and argued motions in state and federal courts, taken and defended depositions, prepared fact and expert witnesses for deposition and trial, and coordinated electronic discovery in document-intensive cases.

Lin currently represents a major technology company in the High-Tech Employee Antitrust Litigation, a purported class action against seven companies alleging a conspiracy to suppress compensation by entering agreements not to solicit each other's employees. Her recent cases also include representing Sutter Health in a purported antitrust class action as well as a health insurer in another antitrust matter. Last year, Lin was part of the trial team that obtained a full defense verdict on an antitrust group boycott claim filed against Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.

In addition, Lin participates in pro bono representations. She represented an individual in a mortgage fraud case, successfully pursuing the case to default judgment and winning treble damages and attorneys' fees. Lin also represented an indigent prisoner in a long-running case against the state of California to secure the inmate's constitutional right to religious freedom. The case ended with a favorable settlement after Lin successfully opposed the state's motion for summary judgment and led the mediation efforts.

Trust is both and emotional and logical act. Emotionally, it is where you expose your vulnerabilities to people, but believing they will not take advantage of your openness. Logically, it is where you have assessed the probabilities of gain and loss, calculating expected utility based on hard performance data, and concluded that the person in question will behave in a predictable manner. In practice, trust is a bit of both. I trust you because I have experienced your trustworthiness and because I have faith in human nature.. . We feel trust. Emotions associated with trust include companionship, friendship, love, agreement, relaxation, comfort.. . There are a number of different ways we can define trust. Here are the dimensions of trust and consequent definitions.. Predictability. . It is a normal part of the human condition to be constantly forecasting ahead. We build internal models of the world based both on our experiences and what others tell us, and then use these to guess what will happen next. This allows us to spot and prepare for threats and also make plans to achieve our longer-term goals.. . The greatest unpredictability is at 50%

is there an official deed poll company in the uk?

I just got married in October and changed my last name. When you get married the courthouse will mail you and your husband your marriage certificate. You'll need to take that and a photo ID (drivers license, military ID, etc) and go down to your local social security office and fill out a name change form. Some courts provide the form for you though so just ask. But anyways it's super easy and it's fairly quick. It took me about 10 days to get my new Social Security Card with my new last name. You'll also have to take your marriage certificate and new social security card to your DMV to get your name changed on your license. I still haven't done that yet I'm a big procrastinator ha..it's a pain changing your name. Hope this helps! G'luck and congrats on your marriage!

Can someone give me examples of these words?
