After all the claims against the estate are paid, and if the decedent has a surviving spouse and no children, the entire estate goes to the spouse. If there are children and no surviving spouse, the entire estate is divided equally among the children. If there is both a surviving spouse and children, half of the estate goes to the spouse, and the remaining half is divided equally among the children. If the decedent leaves neither a spouse nor children, the estate goes to the decedent's parents, brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. If the decedent leaves none of these relatives, the estate goes to the decedent's grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. The line of inheritance continues in an attempt to locate the decedent's nearest kin. Illinois law does not distinguish between kin of whole or half blood. If, however, the decedent leaves no kin, the estate goes to the county where the decedent lived or in which the estate property is located.

Design the template and then press F12 or File, Save As and choose Word Template.. . Now, modifying a template is not so straight forward.

We believe the Bible to be the word of God as it is translated correctly. The word is translate, not interpret.. . I have to wonder why people have such a problem with this when they readily condemn translations like the New World Translation.. . It really is a double standard. What makes one translation more correct than another? And how does a person determine which translation is the most accurate? Going further, how does a person know that the translation they favor is entirely accurate?. . A translation is only as good as the translators can make it at the time of translation. The understanding of the original text (presuming it is the original and not a copy, which is subject to its own set of errors) and the language into which the text is being translated is crucial. If either is faulty, then the translation can be faulty.. . There are no original texts with which we can compare the translations. There are only copies. There are contradictions in the Biblical text, which could be attributed to translation and/or copying errors.. . I have to wonder why anyone actually questions our stance on the matter of accepting the Bible as the word of God "as far as it is translated correctly". After all, we readily admit that it can contain errors and are willing to test any part of it against the larger context of the entire scripture.. . Besides being able to compare something found in one part of the Bible with teachings found elsewhere (and the teachings and commandments are what is important), we can also seek the guidance of the Holy Ghost and pray to know the truthfulness of the passages we are studying.. . The "Mormon" Church is often criticized by Christians for not accepting the English translation of the Bible in its entirety and without question. Silly Mormons, why do they do this?. . Maybe it is because the recognize the fact that you cannot cleanly convey meanings that are full of artistic/poetic license, symbolism, and poetry from one language to another without distorting the original text. If there is any translation that has to be done, it has to be by the power of God, which means revelation to the translators, and that is something that the traditional Christian world rejects -- there is no need or such thing as modern-day revelation.. . But to look at the Mormon Church and how it approaches its study of its sacred writings, which it calls, "the standard works", it spends two years studying the Old and New Testaments (a year on each), a year studying the Book of Mormon, and a year studying Church history. Then the cycle repeats all over again. So Mormons spend time studying the Bible and often have a much better and more complete understanding of what is contained in it, than most Christians.. . Then you have the fact that Salt Lake is less than 50 percent "Mormon." There are significant populations of non-Mormons living in Salt Lake, and it houses a Catholic Cathedral and a number of non-Mormon Christian churches.. . So, it gets recognition from the scholars that make up the National Bible Association for accepting the Bible as part of its faith, and also recognizing the contributions the Church makes in distributing free Bibles to those who want them.. . But there is one other thing: About fifty or so years ago, a study was performed (likely in comparative religions) on the New Testament and what is being taught by Christian denominations. It compared the teachings and practices of Christian denominations against the commandments, teachings, and practices found in the New Testament. The study, as far as I know, has never been published on line, but it was featured in a religion article in public newspapers of the time and the results suggested that of all the Christian denominations studied, only the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormons) came anywhere close to following all of them. It met about 96 percent of the qualified items on the list. The remaining denominations were far behind with those most close in the lower 70's and the majority below 70 percent -- many below 60 percent. So, if nothing else, the "Mormons" more closely follow what is actually found in the New Testament than any other denomination (in the study). I would love to see a copy of the study, to see the items on the list, and to see how the various churches do with those items.. . Yes, the Mormons are very much oriented toward the Bible and in particular, what is found in the New Testament. They are perhaps some of the most Bible-literate Christians on the face of the planet. It is little wonder than their headquarters city has been named a National Bible City.
