    I myself had to get POA over my father, my father had to be put in a nursing home . And by law the power is ONLY for you to be able too answer & receive any questions for your parent. And this is done when the parent CAN"T answer for them self anymore.. I had 3 other siblings, but no one wanted to step up to the plate & take responsibly .I'm the youngest but I did take care of my father till the end. I was only in charge of his medical needs & that's what POA means. No you can't do anything to the will or any thing else --a will is a legal document & can't be changed by the POA. If you are curious about the power , just ask your sibling to show you the document & you'll be able to see what kind of power they have. I know my siblings fought me tooth & nail on this & it was for nothing all I did was be the voice for my father. Also call the attorney & find out what kind of power they have.     The original POA would have had to have been rescinded with specific language in the "new" document.. . If the "new" POA doesnt say that it supercedes any previous POA, then it isnt worth the paper it is written on, and the cousin doesnt have it.. . You HAVE to replace one with another, not have additional to the original...
